Lock Repair & Installation
Is your lock not working properly? It could only need adjustment. Locks do wear out however and we do have a wide selection of quality locks in stock, including lever style. We can also replace some lock parts if they become worn and tired.
Lock Rekeying
If you have recently moved into a new house, lost your keys, or, in the case of a business, have lost an employee, you should rekey your locks. Rekeying consists of changing the pins, or wafers, in the lock and making new keys. The old keys will no longer work after the lock is rekeyed, diminishing the chance of someone gaining entry to your home or business.
Instead of fumbling in the dark for the correct key, it is convenient to have one key that operates all of the locks on your home or business. Keying alike can accomplish that. We can 'key alike' your locks if you desire. Keyed-alike locks are those that are operated by the same key, such as a doorknob and a deadbolt in a house.
Commercial Masterkeying Services
What is a Master Key System? Take two or more locks, such as in a rental house or apartment complex, and rekey them in such a way that one key operates one lock and another key operates the other lock (and so on with more locks). A separate key called the Master Key will operate all the locks in the system. Apartment buildings, offices, hotels, and hospitals are some examples of where Master Keying would help diminish the large quantity of keys that are required to operate all of the locks in those particular instances. It also allows one person to have access to every lock, while others (tenants or employees, for example) would only be able to use their key on their assigned lock(s). Whether a business owner or landlord, you could benefit from a masterkey system.
Residential Masterkeying Services
As a homeowner, this can be a good idea in a house where a shop or separate room needs to have access blocked for some reason. For instance, maybe the kids need a house key but don’t need access to another room (shop, gun room, etc.). The parent can have a master key that will open all locks but the kids can only open the entrance door. This is also beneficial for not allowing access to someone who you have asked to housesit for you.
Keys From Code
When keys are lost, we can often make new ones from the "Key Code". This is a number that the manufacturer assigns a lock. This can save the trouble of removing and disassembling the lock. Some vehicle keys can be made this way also.
Vehicle Keys and Lock Work
Here in the Copper Country, locks freeze up and corrode often. This happens more often now that people use the electronic openers and rarely use the key. We can free up, rebuild, or replace these locks.

Door Closers
We can adjust your door closers if they just don't seem to working right. We can also replace them if they are worn out.
Sometimes, the closer might be working fine but the door hinges are out of adjustment. This can usually be fixed to make the door shut smoother.
Security Evaluations
When you move into a new home or business, you may have concerns about the security of the building and the property. Call us and we can come to your location, walk around the property and building(s), and point out possible security issues. If you would like, we can give you written ideas about our findings. Although we do not sell or install alarm systems, we can inform you if that may be needed. We want to make sure that you not only feel secure, but also are secure when at home or work.
Lock and Door Hardware Sales
We have padlocks of various brands for sale at the shop, and a smaller selection in the service vehicle. We also carry padlocks that can be keyed to match your house or business lock. We sell mainly US Lock brand locksets and deadbolts. These are manufactured for the locksmith and are comparable to major manufacturer locks such as Schlage, Kwikset, etc. but at a reduced price to the customer. We also sell the major manufacturer locksets and hardware. We can order most brands you desire.
